The Heat Trapper Door is specifically designed for those who want to heat the entire stone surface, allowing for pizzas larger than a standard plate size. Unlike other doors, it fits snugly between the archway without touching the oven’s face, preventing scratches and damage to your Gozney Dome or S1 Pizza Oven. While our Baffle doors remain popular due to their lighter weight and smaller size, both options offer comparable heating times.

The key difference between the standard Baffle door and the Heat Trapper door lies in their intended use. The Baffle door, praised in demonstrations like Some Dads Cook on YouTube, is ideal for regular wood-fired pizzas of plate size. In contrast, the Heat Trapper door is designed for 16" or larger pizzas, effectively heating the stone surface between the archway and the oven mantle—the last 3 to 4 feet of the stone. While the Baffle door is smaller, lighter, and more practical for everyday use, it also comes with an optional door holder for added convenience.
